How to travel to local famous places. If one is possible and have time, you need to do some homework and one has small budget. Find some local agencies to help you to minimize the price. The agency you find must be trustworthy.

You can ask for their telephone or hand phone number and business card.

If you book with the hotel , they will double charge the price. That's why.

When I travel to Vietnam , sometimes they accept USD dollar for payment.

WEATHER

Vietnam has 4 seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter, but different province has different climate.  This is what the tour guide told us before. The weather at the first half year , generally is hot and warm. second half year the weather will slowly turn cool and raining. So if you come on rainy season , and the people fear cold , do bring your thick warm jacket and or wind proof jacket.

WI-FI

If you travel there for one week , I recommend you buy local data. It is very convenient and also can share with other people. It is fast and good.
You can purchase at the entrance of the airport. Buy their mobile sim card and it provides 3 GB  mobile data  at the price of 5 - 6 USD dollar.

TRANSPORTATION

Vietnam is a big country , the most common transportation used is motorbike and taxi.
For taxi , they charge you according to the meter shown in the taxi. So no worries.

Also you can rent a motorbike if you intend to explore yourself. Must be careful in Vietnam as the most horrible traffic jam found here by large-scale motorbikes around.
Uber is not available here too.

FOOD 

While traveling , we can enjoy the local cuisine right there. Usually we eat Western-style meal and must try the local food there too. Even though some of the taste might be different ,still it is nice to taste the local food right ?
The appearance of food in Vietnam looks very similar , but the taste is completely different from us. Some of the food  is not acceptable by me , maybe I am not used to it.

At least I have tried the local food but I am not used to so I end up here taking western food. Or sometimes the western food is quite expensive , I skip this and substitute with porridge and beef noodles soup.
The big feature is they use a lot of herbs in the food especially the noodles soup. The herbs are very rich in antioxidant and produced fragrance ,  are very good for our health !

If you eat Western food , it might be a little bit expensive for us. Finding food is not that difficult and walk across the road , there are many options to choose. MUST TRY !!! Enjoy the local food , the price is cheap ! Just like ordinary food sold beside the streets.

DRINK

When come to Vietnam , you must try the local coffee. I am a coffee lover ! Their coffee is really fragrant in smell , rich and very mellow too. The  volume of the local coffee sold is only 1/4 volume filled in the glass. It is very unique and special. one really has to sip slowly to get the real coffee taste.

You can buy the coffee as the souvenir to the friend who loves coffee a lot.

They sit on short chairs and  even the tables are also short. I see them really enjoying themselves relaxing along the road sides from evening till midnight. I am so shocked about this , kindly be reminded if you can't sleep in on environment , don't book hotel near to the streets.

ENJOY THE LOCAL SCENES

In DANANG , there is a beautiful local beach . The water is crystal clear, windy and air is fresh.
In Ho Chi Minh , there are historical and antique buildings whereas in Hanoi one can feel the real nature like at Halong Bay and SAPA.

LANGUAGE 

The Vietnam people speak Vietnamese , sometimes they don't even understand what we say. I encourage do some name of the food before you go to Vietnam , try to do some homework. Some simple phrases like food - porridge , mineral water and so on.  I use google translation but sometimes it will be different in meaning.

POWER

Normally they use two plug-in socket types that which is also the same in Taiwan. But they do provide three plug-in socket type. So no worries.

SAFETY

Vietnam is a safe country to visit.
Please be careful when you are walking across the roads. There are many motorbikes on the road. If you want to cross , just go ahead and don't stop or turn back even you see the motorbikes are coming behind you as this will cause accidents to occur. Instead they will slow down and let the pedestrian walk across first.Do not leave your valuables unattended. You must take care of your belongings. Sometime thieves will snatch your bag.
